These facilities, which we call domestic, break the water into fine drops that will be larger or smaller depending on the pressure that we have in the supply network.
Unlike high-pressure installations, they are installations that never manage to dissolve all the water in the air, wetting the ground with the undissolved, so that small spaces of time must be in operation and remain a longer time for avoid puddling of the soil.
They serve to refresh as a result of the water provided to the environment, but the jets can not be placed on people or objects that are damaged by water as they wet. For this reason they are not recommended in public spaces except in leisure areas where a humid and refreshing environment is intended but assuming that water does not dissolve completely in the air and wet.
They can be accompanied by a pump to increase the pressure to about 10 BAR and improve the performance of the installation.
They are suitable for:
- Refresh patios and private terraces.
- Leisure places, swimming pools. Animal farms, horse stables, kennels, …
- Irrigation in greenhouses and small crops Gardening and landscaping.
They are not suitable for:
- Public places such as restaurants, café terraces and similar sites.
Advantages with respect to Low Pressure
- Use water directly from the network.
- It does not consume energy.
- Up to 70-80 nozzles operating at the same time per 3⁄8″ pipe, which is the standard in this type of installation.
Disadvantages
- It drips more easily than the high pressure and although we have anti-drip valves and automatic discharge valves, in the low pressure systems are not always avoidable all the drips that can be produced.
- The effectiveness is less than the high pressure.
- See the low pressure installation guide to help you in a simple way in the technical aspects of the installation.
They are suitable for:
- Cooling of outdoor areas, terraces, cafes, restaurants, airports, shopping and leisure centers, zoos, cooling towers, etc.
- Reduction of dust, getting through the relative humidity to precipitate the dust particles in suspension.
- Elimination of odors either by the precipitation of the bacteria that originate it, or by the contribution of deodorants to the environment along with the supply water.
- Reduction of static electricity, very important in certain manufacturing processes.
Advantages with respect to Low Pressure
- Since the water dissolves in the air immediately, these facilities are very effective.
- This system is valid for public areas since the water when going outside does so in drops so thin that it immediately dissolves in the air which produces instant cooling without dripping. Even if at the proper distance, a nozzle is located on the head of a person will not wet it.
Disadvantages
- These facilities, having to use pressure equipment and pipes resistant to these pressures, are more expensive than those of low pressure.
- See the high pressure installation guide to assist you in the technical aspects of the installation.
